Services

During the Covid 19 Pandemic, Word of Life Church has been livestreaming worship services each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. through Facebook. The services are then uploaded to our YouTube Page with links provided on our web site. The church will reopen on Sunday, June 7, 2020, but will continue to livestream.

The worship services not only include contemporary music and technology, but also blend in meaningful hymns and liturgy that are based on scriptures and have been a part of our Christian heritage. Offering meaningful praise and worship and faith building teaching and preaching are areas of emphasis during the worship services.

  • The church building will be cleaned and sanitized after each worship service or other use.
  • Hand santizer will be provided at every entrance to the building, as well as in strategic places throughout the building.
  • Masks will be provided for those who need them.
  • Live video of the service will be provided on a large screen TV in the fellowship hall to allow more opportunity for social distancing, especially if there is a larger crowd at church one Sunday.
  • The church will live stream our worship services, and upload to YouTube a video of each service, for those who cannot attend in person.
  • Greeters will welcome people outside, without physical contact.
  • Entry will be at one door: the door to the front hallway from the parking lot. An usher will be present to open the door so people do not have to touch the door handle. Interior doors will be kept open.
  • Seating will be available in every other pew.
  • Greeting is encouraged to be done outdoors after church.
  • Prayer Chapel Ministry will be offered outdoors at a designated place.
  • There will be an electronic bulletin for those interested.
  • Words to praise, worship, hymns, and scriptures will be projected.
  • An offering plate will be placed at the front of the church by the piano. People may also give electronically.
  • The service will be shortened to 40-45 minutes.

Plan for Reopening Word of Life

Psalm 141:3

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;
Keep watch over the door of my lips.

Philippians 2:4

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

  • Please stay at home and watch the live stream of the worship service if you have any symptoms of a cold or any sickness.
  • Decide when it is best and safest for you and your family to return to in-person worship. If you do not attend, remember to watch the live stream.
  • Remember to practice social distancing.
  • Wear face masks during the worship service (Ps. 141.3), unless for health reasons you should not. If you do not have a face mask, ask an usher for one.
  • Avoid physical contact (hand shaking, hugs, etc.) with others.
  • Bring your own Bibles to the worship service.
  • Sunday School and Children's Church will need to be phased in at a later time.
  • Parents are welcome to use the nurseries on the main level and lower level as desired.
  • The large screen TV in the youth room can be used to show videos to the toddlers who may need care outside of the sanctuary.
  • Please check out our Kids webpage for resources parents can use for at home Children's Church or Sunday School.
